VOLUNTEER
Okotoks BMX Club is a 100% volunteer run organization that promotes an active and healthy lifestyle through BMX racing. Our club welcomes riders of all ages, from 4 to 94 years old, who are interested in learning and competing in BMX races. Our mission is to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for riders to develop their skills, make friends, and have fun!
Volunteering
Our club could not exist year after year without relying on the support of our members. There are no paid positions or hired personnel at Okotoks BMX. Every aspect of the track maintenance and the successful execution of our racing events are 100% organized and managed through the volunteer efforts of our Board of Directors and the Members of the club.
Volunteer Requirements
• 20 Regular Volunteer Hours (Alberta BMX Day & Friday Night Lights to be included in the regular hours)
• 8 work Bee Hours
• 2 Provincial Shifts
Volunteer Deposit
A $400 volunteer deposit via post dated cheque, cash or promise to pay credit card form will be required in order for paperwork to be processed. If families complete their volunteer requirements for the season, their deposit will be returned at the end of the season.
