JOIN THE CLUB

Okotoks BMX Club is a 100% volunteer run organization that promotes an active and healthy lifestyle through BMX racing. Our club welcomes riders of all ages, from 4 to 94 years old, who are interested in learning and competing in BMX races. Our mission is to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for riders to develop their skills, make friends, and have fun!

Welcome to Okotoks BMX

Thank you for joining the Okotoks BMX Family!

For all new and returning Okotoks BMX members, registration opens January 16, 2026. Cost per rider for the season is $150. All riders must obtain a 2026 Alberta Bicycle License to ride on our track, which is available online through the Alberta Bicycle Association. Steps on how to obtain club membership and order a license online are detailed below.

Riders must have both an UCI license from the Alberta Bicycle Association and a current Okotoks BMX Club Membership to participate in any club events. CLICK HERE for more information on the UCI License.

Registration Process

Go to our Registration Site.

Click on "Individual Registration"

If you have previously purchased an ABA License, enter your login information. If you do not have an account, create a new account, and login!

Start the registration process for your rider(s) by entering their information and/or selecting a rider from your list.

Step 1: Select Alberta Bicycle License/Membership

  1. Click "Add Membership to Cart". You will be taken to a page where you can select a Community Membership - a non-racing license that permits your rider to attend practices and events but not races - or a UCI Race License. For U17 riders select "All Disciplines"; 17+ Riders can select BMX Only. Click "Next".

  2. Select the type of license - BMX 20" or BMX Cruiser 24".  Select Novice, Intermediate or Expert level. (Most new riders will be 20" and "Novice"). Click Save.

  3. Review the information and upload a picture for your rider's license. Click Next.

  4. Answer the required questions from Alberta Bicycle. Trade Team Name is not required. Click Next.

  5. Additional insurance options are offered from Alberta BMX, but not required. Click Next.

  6. Review the information. If correct, click "Complete and Return to Registration". You will be taken to the Okotoks BMX Club Membership process.

Step 2: Club Membership

  1. Enter the required household, emergency contact information and complete the media consent. Click next.

  2. Read through the volunteer and fundraising requirements. Enter a selection for each from the menus. Note: if you are registering multiple riders and have elected to "opt out" of volunteering or fundraising, you will only be charged 1x per family. Click Next.

  3. Review your information. If you have another rider to register click "Complete and Add another Participant". If no, click "Complete and Proceed to Cart".

  4. You will be directed to our Jersey "store". If you would like to pre-order your jersey you may do so, but it is not required. Jerseys can be ordered at a later date if you choose.

Waivers

You will then be taken through a series of waivers for Alberta Bicycle and Okotoks BMX. Please complete all waivers.

Once complete, your cart will appear. Once you have paid, you will receive a confirmation email from us with additional information on the season.
