President
LESLIE MACRAE
Hi! My name is Leslie and I have been with Okotoks BMX since 2021. I have been on the Board of Directors since 2022, and this is my first year as President!
We joined BMX because my son was born to ride a bike - and wanted to ride "the big track" since he was 4. Five years later, my son, daughter and I all ride - it has definitely become a family sport! We love the community, camaraderie and fun that BMX brings, and the amazing friends we have made not only in Okotoks but around the province.
I truly believe that the sport of BMX and the amazing Okotoks BMX community finds those who need it. We welcome anyone who is looking to try something new, have fun, and make new friends! I'm really looking forward to the 2026 season and all the great opportunities that it will bring to our club and the community.

Vice-President & Coach
PHIL MAKIN
I’m Phil Makin, Vice President for the Okotoks BMX Club. This is my 3rd year with the club and second year as a member of the board of directors. We moved to Okotoks less than 3 years ago, and joining the club was an amazing way for my 2 boys to make friends, join a fantastic team, and feel integrated into the community. I'm excited to watch the membership improve and compete, gain confidence, and build friendships. I want to help create great events for all levels of rider and welcome new families to the club in the same way we were welcomed.

Coaching Coordinator
ROBIN OWEN
Hi, I'm Robin! As Coaching Director, I help shape the club’s training programs and support our amazing coaches and riders. I come from a motocross background, and I love seeing how many of the same coaching principles translate to BMX — focus, confidence, and flow. What I enjoy most is helping riders progress and watching their excitement as their skills and self-belief grow.

Track Operator
HALEY SKOF-WILLIAMS
Hi, I’m Haley! This is my 1st year on the board, 2nd with Okotoks BMX and 3rd year racing. The thing I’m most looking forward to this year is watching my ‘strider queen’ tackle the big track.
I’m also excited to continue to learn more about BMX behind the scenes. We have tried a lot of sports, clubs and activities over the years, but we have never felt more at home than when we joined Okotoks BMX.
Coach
SOPHIE GIBBS
My name is Sophie Gibbs I’m 20 years old and have been riding for 14 years now and I have coached the past 5 years! I love coaching as I’ve been able to give back to the BMX community which has provided me with so many of the values I hold today. This past summer my good friend Isabella Bregliano and I started Ignite BMX Coaching and we are looking forward to holding more camps/clinics for the 2025 season.
I’m currently studying kinesiology at Lake Superior State University while also playing university hockey. When I’m home from school I’m always looking forward to getting back on the track and work with so many awesome riders!

Coach
ISABELLA BREGLIANO
Hello! My name is Isabella Bregliano. I’m 20 years old and have been racing for 14 years. I was at the university of Lethbridge studying for a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology however, I have decided to change paths and transfer to a collage for an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) program which I’m super excited for!! I’ve always loved working with kids and athletes and coaching is one way I can give back the knowledge and skills I have learnt in the past to the kids!
This past summer Sophie Gibbs and I have started Ignite BMX Coaching and we plan to have multiple camps this up coming year and we’re so excited!!
